Teresa's Farm Recovers from Hail

When we left for vacation, Teresa's straw bale garden had been shredded by the hail. We didn't bother to have anyone water it, thinking that we would just start over with new plants after we returned.

Surprisingly, the squash, zucchini, and beans have come back better than ever. I had thought that they would have dried up, because straw bale gardens are supposed to need a lot of water, but apparently not as much as I thought.

I am glad your straw bales resurrected. Being able to witness the tenacity of nature is one reason I like to garden.

I enjoyed the shots of Chincoteague, they look as if they were shot for the Board of Tourism. I live in Norfolk, but my home is on the Eastern Shore, and I have been going to Chincoteague since before I have any memories of it. Thanks for sharing.

I would think the bales would need less water as they would hold moisture. You just never know about these new fangled growing techiniques. It looks like you will have a great crop.
