Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day

Verbena, Creeping Phlox, Pincushion Flowers, and Gerbera Daisies aren't what you expect to see blooming in mid-December, but here they are.
Temps this week have been near 80, but tomorrow it will be about 40 degrees cooler.

We have a saying in North Carolina..."If you don't like the weather, stick around for a few minutes. It'll change."

To see what is blooming in gardens (outdoor and indoor) around the world this month, visit May Dreams Gardens.

You are lucky to have something blooming today.

I will look around tomorrow morning to see if I can find a bloom. I didn't see anything today. I might have a strike out this month.

Hey, I thought weather saying was what we say in Indiana. We are getting a change of weather, and lots of snow tomorrow. It's beginning to look & feel like Christmas.

Hi there, David :-)

Gerbera Daisies in mid December - well that's not someting you are likely to see in my Scottish garden!

'Fair dreich' is how the scots would descride the weather when miserable, cold and wet. However at the moment today is showing signs of a bright mild December day - so I might just get my bulbs planted later. It doesn't feel at all like Christmas here :-D

My post is up too if you would like to visit :-D

Best wishes for 2008 :-D

It's about to get cold, Lisa, so I'm glad I got photos of them. Good luck in your garden--maybe there's something blooming!

I want some snow, Carol! We haven't had any since 2004!

I had verbena blooming until just a few days ago. I thought I'd have it for GBBD, but with this last cold snap and now the snow, it's gone.

Enjoy them now with your coolor weather coming on. I know we're about to get a huge change in Austin weather and what we'll see blooming.

Wow, it looks like summer in your garden David. BTW I love that expression as it could be applied to my country's weather too. ;-)

My Blooms are up too if you're interested!

Other than Salvia and Pansies, there is no color here. Did you get rain over the weekend? We had about an inch.
