A Big Bug

There is no truth to the rumor that I'm changing the name of my blog to Leave Me Alone, I'm Taking Pictures of Bugs. It is simply too hot and dry to do any digging. I encountered this waspish creature sampling hydrangea nectar and profitably spent twenty minutes taking his photo.

Teresa is tired of seeing him on the computer screensaver, so I post him here for you to enjoy!

LOL! You make me laugh! What's wrong with a bug on the screensaver?

I've been thinking of changing the name of my blog to Mary's Birdless View. I miss the birds!

Yeah, Mary...I'll tell Teresa to talk to you!

I should be, Gina. Last summer I ran over a yellow jacket nest with the lawnmower and my leg was swollen for a week...Like Forrest Gump says: "Stupid is as stupid does."

Bugs are kind of cute if you get over the creepy part and really look at them. But I don't usually use them as screen savers. I prefer close ups of grapes these days for my screen saver.

David,

I like all of your pictures. Do I have permission to print one if I want to? Especially, since I am your favorite m-i-l???. I hope I still am anyway.

Thanks, Aunt Wanda. Of course you can print any of them you like because you are my favorite mother-in-law! Thanks for visiting. Hope you and Teresa are having fun!
