Christmas Eve in the Garden

The nice thing about living in the South is that it's not real uncommon to have 65-degree days in late December. According to the National Arbor Day Foundation's newest map, Zone 8 is creeping into Guilford County, North Carolina.

In the week that I've been off from school, I've set out some Otto Luyken cherry laurels around the front and side of the house, replacing some Snow Azaleas that are now living happily in the backyard. I also set out some blue and white hyacinths, a Christmas gift (Thanks, Mama!) and expanded one of my sun beds in preparation for spring planting. Photos to come! Merry Christmas!
